Pakistan's Test pacer Mir Hamza is excited for a two-match stint with Warwickshire Cricket Club in the ongoing County Championship.
Hamza, who took one wicket on day one against Lancashire in the ongoing match, spoke about his experience of playing in English conditions.
"I am really excited, the weather, team atmosphere and support are exceptionally good here. We are also getting good support in Edgbaston," the left-arm pacer said.
"I always enjoy playing in English conditions being a swing bowler. This opportunity really excites me and I am really looking forward to using my swing weapon," he added.
Hamza also aims to fill in the place of his compatriot Hassan Ali who left the club to join the national team in Sri Lanka for the Test series.
"I will try my best that they don't feel the empty seat of Hassan Ali," he concluded.
Hamza will next feature against Middlesex in the coming week. Previously, he played for Sussex in 2019.
Karachi-born Hamza has featured in 95 first-class matches, including three Tests, taking 379 wickets at an average of 22.40.
Hamza made his Test debut in Abu Dhabi back in 2018. He was left out of the Test squad after just a Test match. This year in January, he made a comeback against New Zealand but could only take a wicket on a batting-friendly track.
He then toured with Pakistan Shaheens' team to Zimbabwe for two four-dayers and six 50-over format games.
